Diagnostic Testing for Females

A successful pregnancy is the result of a coordinated sequence of events involving the development and release of a single egg from the ovary, pickup of that egg by the fallopian tube, transport to the midsection of the tube where fertilization occurs, followed by transport of the fertilized egg to the inside of the uterus where implantation and further development takes place. A problem with any one of these steps can lead to infertility.

To evaluate female fertility, a series of in-office medical procedures will be scheduled to evaluate:

Egg Development and Release
Tubal Structure (Hysterosalpingogram)
Uterine Lining

When a couple is experiencing infertility, a complete evaluation is done of both partners. Following completion of testing, a conference is scheduled with a physician to review the results and develop an individualized treatment plan designed to increase the likelihood of pregnancy.
